I think it is better to mount the sender away from the fuel rail.
Sinceit is fragile already addingthe extra weight to it could cause more undue stress.

I think it is goodrich who made the Stainless Steel braided line with the correct fittings on both ends.
I have a brand new one right here I am not using.
$45 inc shipping.

It is a little under 3 ft so you can mount the sender on the firewall.
Or I saw Tyler had his run in a "U" shape and mounted it somewhere around the ABS/cruise control unit area.

Should answer most questions and explain some alternatives

Rick,

I see U put the sender in front of the Fuel Filter. These are Saginaw fittings. How did U tie into these special fittings ? Or did U replace the fuel line w AN braided line all the way to the fuel rail ?

Quick tip from the UBB:

Whipple Industries sells a "fuel pressure test fitting" (there is no part
number) which will allow you to install your aftermarket fuel pressure sender
under the truck. The fitting (3/8 Saginaw male-3/8 Saginaw female) installs
between the hardline and the fuel hose. Simple and stealthy. No ugly sender
in the engine bay, no attachments to your test port and no chance of a
cracked fuel rail. To order, contact Dennis @ Whipple Industries,
559.442.1261. Cost is $15. See pics at:

Much thanks to Dean Higson (Ty2194) for his valuable input.
