Sheesh Dave, I was trying to agree with ya and you fricking turn around and rag on what I said.
And meh, if you want a gauge get a gauge. If it was me I would prefer an electric, the fitting is less likely to be stressed than a mechanical just due to the long hose bouncing around and the twist between the engine and body.
As far as flight gauges, whatever, this isn't an airplane and I'm not depending on the gauge for my life, just to help protect some money. And if it shows something amis, at least I can check it out to determine if its a gauge or fuel problem. Heck, there are a dozen sensors on the motor that are not flight tested and we don't worry about those.
