FS: SyTy Long Block

Up for sale is my SyTy long block complete from the oil pan up to the roller rockers. Valve covers are not included but the lower intake is.

The block is 20 over and contains 4.020" BRC forged aluminum pistons.

The crank is stock and nitrided:

Connecting rods are Olivers:

Roller rockers are Crane Gold Race extruded extruded billet aluminum 1.5 ratio and fit under the stock valve covers, which are not included.

Heads are ported and polished stockers.

The engine is well balanced and blue printed. It was running very smoothly and had a great idle when pulled. It was just noisy. I'm looking to get $2900 OBO for the long block and would like local pickup only. The engine is currently in Tacoma, WA.

The engine sounds like a diesel at startup and the noise usually last for more than six minutes until the engine is warmed up. Even after the engine is warmed up, there is still some clacking noise. The funny thing is, the noise is loud on one day and not as noticeable on another day. It seems to be random. Lifters or rockers or too large of a cylinder clearance, I don't know.

Hey Richard, off on a tangent, were you able to run that blue oil filter that's on the block in the truck?
If so, do you know that PN?

That blue oil filter was just on there to prime the engine while it was still sitting on the engine stand. I believe it's the standard AC Delco like DaveP mentioned.

I have no idea what the copper color is in the water jacket. The picture was taken before the engine was finished, so hopefully that stuff got cleaned out.

I can add with 10-30 oil, at idle the stock gauge showed 1/4 on oil pressure guage, 1/2 way up while driving/running.

I believe new Oliver rods are $1k. I would want to tear it apart and inspect it, depending whats wrong it could be a quick fix.
