I hate to do this guys, but it's gotta go. I've had some things come up in life, and I need to make some changes. I only have a few months left of school, and as soon as I'm done, I'll be moving back to MN. If I sell a lot of parts, I could keep the Sy, so if I can turn some parts, I'll keep the truck. But I need to round up some funds, and this is one way to get them.
This is the Bob Wilkenson's old truck, Syclone #187. Spent it's whole life in Ohio, I believe I'm the third owner. The truck is all there. All the Syclone specific parts are there, and everything works. A/C blows ice cold. It does have some rust, and has seen a few Ohio winters. The rust is on the bottom of the doors, and the bottom of the bed. It's not a total rust bucket, I mean, no holes or anything, but it's not rust free. Has an aftermarket tonneau cover, and a plastic bed liner in it. The cladding is in good shape. The L rocker has had a repair done at some point when Bob owned the truck. The interior is in great shape. One advantage of having tons of parts is I was always able to swap out the nicest stuff I had into my truck, so the interior looks great. Has a 92 Ty steering wheel and Typhoon door mirrors on it. There are a couple cracks in the dash, which we all know is typical on a high mileage truck. The truck has 235,xxx miles on it. Bob worked for GM in Dayton, and lived in Columbus, so he drive it 120 miles round trip to work everyday. All the miles on this thing are highway/interstate miles. The drivetrain has been rebuilt. Then engine was rebuilt about 3 years ago, and the trans was built the year after that. Bob and a friend did the engine, which *I believe* is .020 over w/ forged pistons and 4-bolt mains, but I can not varify that for sure. The trans is a George Blake 700R4 w/ a 2800 stall. I don't know the odometer readings when the engine and trans were installed, so I don't know how many miles are on them. When I bought it a few months ago, I did all the typical Sy/Ty stuff. Plugs, wires, soft I/C lines, cap/rotor, fluids, ect, and also put 4 brand new tires on it. As far as mods, it has an AFPR on it, along with an ATR 3" catback exhaust and a radar style Ultimate chip. Also has a pair B&M tranny coolers, and a Derale pan.
It does need a couple things. The front end definately needs to be done. Ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. I also have a Waller stainless steering shaft that will go with the truck. It also smokes on decel, white smoke(oil). I think the stock turbo is on it's way out. The oil pressure gauge spun around when I installed a new battery, but I have another used cluster thatwill got with it. Other then that, it seems to run drive pretty good. I drove it 1000 miles rounds trip to Nats in BG and it ran great. Pulling the matching trailer, it got 18-19 MPG.
The trailer is not included with the truck, but it is available if you're interested.
Located in Alliance, OH, 44601.
Asking $4500, which I think is fair. I would say my price is fairly firm, but if you think thats too much, get in contact with me and we'll figure something out. Cash talks....
