Re: FS: Austin Syclone project...make offers!
I am far from an accomplished engine builder. This was my first build. It was more of a rebuild really as I bought low-mileage stock bits to avoid machining costs. I reused sensors from the block that came with the Syclone. One of them was an oil pressure sensor that went bad at 600 some odd miles. I've replaced it but sold the headers on it while it was disabled, so haven't had the chance to prove that it really works yet.
For those of you who are not able to visit the truck in person, I understand your hesitancy. It's a bit of a gamble for sure. Keep in mind that I bought it with NO engine for $5500. It's not like I'm making money on it at $7K. I had to buy almost everything to build the engine as I was saving the numbers-matching block for an all-out build, and it had to heads or intakes. So, heads, intake manifolds, turbo...plus corvette rims and tires. I spent a few bucks just to get it where it is now: a heap in my garage

T-Bone said:So it was running at some point after your rebuild but not for 500 miles ??? I was under the impression this was a project you started on but never got around to finishing. I am interested in the truck if I can finish what you started and it will run. I assume you have done engine rebuilds in your past so your work is pretty reputable but having never met you, I want to make sure I know the full scoop .
