Front swaybar

I just finished the RPM Coilover installation. The previous owner had a different setup on the front for a sway bar I can no longer use.

My question is....... Do I need to run the swaybar? Can I get away without it for a couple of months? What will it hurt?

Re: Front swaybar

Yes you can run it. Won't hurt anything but your ride will be very different. I would imagine it will be like driving a bathtub.

The sway bar stops sway, ergo if you have none, it will sway and roll.

You will increase understeer by removing the bar. Beware the first few times you go smoking into your favorite on-ramp with some pace on that the truck will behave differently when driven at higher suspension loadings.

i prefer to have one, the last car i had i removed it to get better weight transfer when drag racing to that effect it was great. as for high speed turns and general driving it sucked. i eventually put it back in.
