Can you just replace the stock shocks with coilovers and then remove the torsionbars?

Yes but you would need to fabricate and install mounting brackets.

they wont just fit in the stock location :lol: damn I was hoping that it would be easy.

You would save a bit of money going this way (not that much) but you'd lose out on some of the weight loss and correction of the ball joint angle - the stock a-arms are 4WD pieces and were not designed for such a low ride height. You would have some weight loss and improvement in the ride and handling though.
