yeah put it in a vice and heat it up and you should be able to tap it out.

That install for the coil overs isnt that hard... just very time consuming

Like they said.... or, you can go and buy the cheapest upper bushings available (~$8.00), burn them out and use the sleeves. Saves having to get the old shells out of the a-arms. That's what I did, so that I could have my new a-arms all assembled and ready to go when I tore the truck apart.

same here.. except I did it because my old bushing shells were so rusty that they couldn't be removed from the arms

I read the fire technique, but tried a different approach. On each bushing, I popped off one of the two discs/flanges with a pickle fork (no damage). Then on the open end, I just attached a gear puller and pressed out the sleeve (vice helps). Took about 15-20 minutes to do all four. Wasn't that hard.

Because a heat gun was handy, and using a torch required running to the part store again.

we pressed em out every time using a vice and various socket sizes

Yeah, but you don't get the burning rubber smell from that method

This is what I did too, but they all come out bent and deform. Can I just use some urethane bushing and metal sleeves that are the same size?
