Fog lamps

How do I keep the fog lights on with the high beam? Do I supply power to some wire or cut some wire that is trigger with the high beam. The fog lights only work on with parklights and low beam only.

The power to the foglamp is supplied by two relays IIRC ... the first switches on with the park / lows, the other switches off with the highs... again not 100% sure on that, but I know that there are two wires coming from the headlamp switch that go to the foglamp harness

I am pretty sure that if you run the foglamps with high beams on that you will melt some wires.

Might be easier to cut out the grill and just add 2 more headlights.....J/K. They do take some juice so you might wanna heed what Jimmy posted.

So much talk about the foglights. My problem is the actual fog light bracket that bolts the fog lights to the inside of the front bumper. I have two that are pretty much rusted out and my fogs are just hanging there. I would like to know if there is a suitable replacement for these?

Just run a seperate power supply wire from the Batt. to a Bosch relay. Worked for me :tup: .

Have you seen what is behind the grill? Dual core A2A and 13 row Setrab tranny cooler used up all the space behind the grill in front of the AC condensor.

I already have 35w HID headlights high /low that use EMAS (electromagnetic active sliders) one already fell victim to fly rock on the highway. Get the 6000K instead of the 5000K as the 5000K cast more of a green light on the ground instead of blue.

No melt wires but a right melt plug end before with Hella 90/130 bulb due to poor ground.
The ground became rusty and is on the frame by lower rad hose.

Stock fog light lens became cloudy over time so I replaced it with a new one. The blazer driving lights are better but had to get change the bulb to PIAA 3800K to get rid of the yellow look.

At Walmart they sell Blazer fog or driving lights that fit in the same location. Try to use some rust pentrating fluid on the bracket as the bracket has adjusting screws to adjust the light up and down.

Where is the second relay? I found the first relay up in the dash above the park brake release handle. On page 8B4 of 93 Ty manual, current is supply to the fog light switch through BRN wire so does the wire ground through the purple wire then green wire on page 8B9?

The relay closes current flows from the fuse box ORN wire and goes to the 2 PPL/WHT wires but when the high beam is switch on voltage across PPL and GRN wire is 9 volts.

Standard relay 87 2 PPL/WHT across from it is 30 ORN next to it is 85 GRN and across from the GRN wire is 86 PPL.

Tried applying power to PPL / WHT wire by the brake boost with Green wire and the fog lights stay on.

On page 8B9 of manual is Figure 7, could someone tell me how to get the foglights to work with the high beams on.
