I raced at a local airport for their flashlight drags down the airstrip. Roughly 1/8th mile +/-.

Raced 4 times, won all 4. A turbo Integra, i lifted half track and coasted and took him by about 10-15 lengths. A older turbo diesel dodge, i lifted when he disappeared in my mirror. A turbo civic gave a good run, i sandbagged and took him but about 5 lengths. My last race was my closest. Against a LS1 WS6, from what i could see, it had DRs, and a lopey cam. I was late on the start by about 1 length. Caught him and took him by about 3 lengths from what i could see in the mirror. My boost valve apparently couldnt hold on, and i pegged my 30psi boost gauge. Laptop was reading 310-320kpa. I didnt hear any detonation so i stayed in it. The knock gauge went off towards the end of the run, and kept knocking in the shutdown area. So i pulled off and found 2 loose rocker arms. So either they came loose, i dropped 2 lifters, or the head lifted. I havent investigated yet. But after i relashed them i drove it 30 miles home with no problems.

too much timing and too little boost. even with alot of meth the engine didnt like the boost/timing combo. So for the races i turned the timing down below 20, and tried to set the boost for 25psi. It ran excellent the first couple times, then it pushed through 25 and past 30.

What did you have timing cranked up to before Brandon?

when i relashed the rockers at the track, i pulled the pushrods and rolled them to make sure they werent bent. The rocker poly-locks were finger loose. The lifters only need an 1/8th turn, which i think isnt enough, but thats what the specs say. Im gonna disassemble the top end the winter anyways.
