How did the intercooler break apart like that? Did you hit something?

the intercooler lost the battle of PSI

I believe robert posted it was a weak weld due to only being welded on the outside surface.

Hi Robert what gauge is the thickness of aluminum used on that intercooler? My buddy's Supra did the same thing 2 times @30PSI the only way they solved it was by adding extra sheet metal at the welds.

I think he got it fixed judging by the black marks in the other thread

I am sure he did so did my friend first time he had it welded but when it happened again so second time we cleaned the welds & added extra sheet metal now the intake plenum looks bullet proof! :myclone:
