firewall grommet with purple\white and green wire?

i am installing a boost and egt gauge and was thinking i'd run the wires/tubing through the grommet with purple\white and green wire that is just off to the passenger side of the brake booster.... anyone out there know what these wires are for? i'd like to stay away from anything too important.

tried tracing them...
searched forums...
bla bla bla...

those are for fog lights. i did the same thing. pulled the grommet inside a bit and pushed all my extras through next to it. the nice thing about that is it can all be changed back to stock if need be.

no need to drill extra holes in the firewall

I haven't looked yet, but there should be a hole in the firewall already for the clutch. In our trucks-it's obvisouly not used so it should be a great place to get though.

You'd think there'd be a spot for the clutch, but its not drilled out. The fog light grommet is the easiest to get to from either side of the fire wall.

gm didn't drill any unnecessary holes unless the option was chosen. a way to keep the amount spent on producing a vehicle down.

it's the only choice i found thats easily fixed if the truck were to be taken back to stock. plus who wants to drill holes in the firewall that stick out in sight and look out of place

Just finished up all the wiring and plumbing, its all back together. I routed the plumbing through the grommet, no holes drilled. The brass fitting on the intake was drilled and tapped, a compression fitting added for the tubing. nothing done that can't be reversed. It came out great. I can't post pics but if anyone out there is installing a boost gauge and looking for ideas I'd be happy to e-mail them. Thanks for the help.
