Out cruuuusing with my girl when i see a sweet red firebird t-top proally a 96' or so like five car lenght's up. I hit it and catch up to him at the light, he's turning left with a two lane stright away ahead. I start to smoke my rears to get his attention and when he looks over all he sees is a blue and white blazer with phoon rims and says "hell yeah dude light'em up" I say "you ever raced a Typhoon before" he said " naa I'm afraid of'em" and puts his head down.HAHAHA i start laughing my ass off. He's like "dude let me over there a perfect straight away ahead". I wouldn't race cuz i've got like 500 miles on my new engine. But i just thought that was cool as hell.

you wont race em cause you have 500miles on a new engine....but you smoked up your tires to show off????

k.. who else besides me see's something contradictory here??

point#1.. new engine.. shouldnt race to save wear and tear on it.(makes sense)

point#2.. willing to smoke up and do a burn out.(doesnt make sense)

point#3.. thinks it wont hurt engine to do a burn out.. but it will hurt to race..(scratches head.. still doesnt make sense)

Analysis:
you hurt your truck showing off by doing the burn out..

Conclusion:
You hurt your truck by burning out, wussed out of a race, could have raced the guy.. and in the process you laid some hurt on your tires, drive train, tranny, gears, and gas.. yeah.. sweet..

Dave,
yeah I didn't really somke'em i just spun'em a little; just ehough to get his attention. Sorry for the misconseption...

don't call me a wuss cuz you don't even know me and if you did...Hahaha. its just a story about a person with a sweet firebird that is scared of the very car that we all have worked so hard to get. If you want to call me any more names you might as well ring me up and tell me over the phone 314 821 9865 cuz that material has no weight here!

Ablizt,

yeah your're right i shouldn't at least until i have the all whell drive and ground effects on(already got the interior in).but it's just easier to call it a typhoon than explain the whole thing.mabey i'll call it a "blazeroon" or a "typhoon clone thing".

Thanks for your replies,
PEACE,
Malik

Sorry man but that will never be a Typhoon. Just a quick blazer. We can't add another truck to the production numbers anyway...it would take away from the values of our Tys!

I use to always get a kick, when I was still in the Stang scene, when kids would buy all the Saleen gear, and call there car a "real" Saleen! Just makes em' look like a real dumbass, when you start asking where the id tags are. My 91' has all the Saleen ground effects and other gear, and has been in multiple magazines, but I have never said it's a real one.

Ok, this kind of stuff bugs me.

I know that he doenst have a real Typhoon but why tear on him like that? It's his truck, he can call it what he want's cant he? But on the title, it's a BLAZER. He had a little fun and he has a typhoon engine so why can't he post his little fun here? You guys are always ripping on peopel about this stuff.

How old are you guys? I think it would be cool to see a tyclone.

MKID: Do you have any pics of your truck?

Guys come on, If everyone wanted to read shit like this, they would go to a honda forum or ricer forum.

I dont guess prototypes/pre-productions count as a Sy/Ty either, since it wont say that on the title, right?

Hey all,

Yeah i'll get some pics up of the blazer typhoon thing as soon as i get a chance!

To all of you that don't want me to call my 90' blazer a typhoon thats cool. Thats how you feel about it and i'm not going to say your wrong, but when you got a blazer you've worked on for 2 years to make a typhoon you might have some different thoughts on the subject.
I love my truck so much and the past 2 weeks driving it has been beyond my expectations of how much fun driving a car could be!! I seems like just the other day(2years ago)when I went over to my friends and saw this awesome red and gray truck in the driveway and said"daaaaamn what the fuck is that".I knew from that point on that that was my dream car!If you all like your truck one tenth as much as me than you like it alot.

HAHAHA Plus when you see me pull up with a dark green "blazer" with double black SS stripes, typhoon ground effects,(not mounted yet)sweet ass new Typhoon engine, brian hartman stage IV tranny,TCS 9'11 TC,Typhoon all whell drive, Typhoon interior&rims IT JUST WOULDN'T BE FARE to call it a blazer!!

Have a good night ya'll,

Malik

Hey I know where you are coming from. If I didn't get a Typhoon I'd be doing the same thing you are doing. Your machine will probably beat some Tys the way you are progressing, but in "My Opinion" for whatever it's worth is that you just have a really fast blazer (and that's coming from the production numbers standpoint). As a matter of fact I may do the same thing to a gen 1 blazer and make it a convertable type thing because I wouldn't dar do that to my Ty which I worked so long to get!

Ok, this kind of stuff bugs me.

He can call it a Typhoon if he wants...but if I don't want to accept it as a Typhoon I won't. It's just as easy for him to call it a blazer as it is to call it a Typhoon. To me Typhoon trucks are a limited truck produced and sold in 92 and 93, so since it wasn't one of the originally produced trucks so it isn't a Ty. My point is (at least I'm trying to make it clear) when do you stop? There are a lot of sweet looking trucks over at blazinlow.com that could pass for Tys...do we accept them too? No one ever called his truck junk. End Rant. Flame Suit On.

I say that :

A. If it looks like a Typhoon

B. If it runs like a Typhoon

C. And if it can wax a Typhoon

He can call it whatever he wants....

sonomaGT

This could be fun
i met i guy a while back, who had a 92 sonoma, just a regular sonoma, but he had a east coast customs ground effects, cowl hood, daul exhaust, but the major thing was a supercharged iroc-z 350 under the hood.thing was slower than shit off the line, but once it got going, it went, & it went fast. he had sonoma gt stickers on the side, not a real gt, but just as well be.

I go by what it says on the title. nothing more, nothing less... if it's a hopped up blazer, guess what. its a hopped up blazer. it might be a 9 second blazer.. its still JUST a blazer.

and theres no point in putting a GT sticker on your truck if it dont say GT on the title...

also pisses me off seeing all those damn Type-R stickers when i know ONE of them is a real type r.... i just dont get it

i have personally been debating this recently. to make a tyclone, or to buy one. i really want to feel like i really belong and to really own one, but for those who dont care, i feel that they are equal.
with a tyclone you can break stuff and not be as worried.
you can wreck a tyclone and always make another
you dont have to put cladding on a tyclone, "sleeper"
but once again, it is not a typhoon.
typhoon to me means that it came from the factory with the cladding, engine, etc.

that includes production, pre production, and prototypes.
just my 2 cents worth.
