Finally Cold Enough In Southern Cali

It's about time we get cold weather down here in Southern California...
The Ty really prefers that to those warm summer days. Its a blast driving to work early in the morning...

Yeah all of my friends have been calling me telling me that I am missing the freeze... I laugh cause its 21 up here right now. Being born and raised in So Cal.. I am not liking this cold crap at all... At least I dont have to drive to Wrightwood or Big bear to see the snow though.

you guys don't even know what cold is. I saw the news on ktla and just laughed. Was pretty sad hearing all the complaining going on.Then I saw the Vegas news and they have 2 snowblowers or something wimpy and had to shut the airport down.

When I am vacationing at my house in Hawaii, if it gets into the 60's at night the news tells everyone to close their windows and put an extra blanket on the bed...

Anything above 70-75 is too hot IMO. Shoveling the parking lot today at work, I had to take my jacket off because I was sweating, it was a toasty 28* out

It's funny. I'll watch the news from North Dakota or Minnesota. They always say it's a cold front coming down from Canada. Then I'll watch the news from where I live and they say it's a cold front coming down from Alaska. I don't get the Alaska news on dishnet, but do they say it's a cold front coming from Siberia? Still weird to see snow in Vegas, funny but weird.

Many HI homes don't have heat, insulation or double-wall construction. Winter is not part of our vocabulary. :D

14 degrees here now with a blizzard warning for the whole area...very unusual here. Supposed to get 3-4ft of snow in the mountains and possibly 1-2ft near sea level. Also supposed to get wind gusts up to 90mph.

This is so true. I guess cause paradise isn't supposed to get cold...
I don't mind when it gets into the 40's though. It means the Ty has a lot of cold, dense air to suck in. You can really feel the difference in pulling power at different temps...
After being in Chicago in their below 0 weather, the high 40's low 50's isn't so bad...

Re: Finally Cold Enough In Southern Cali

It was -20 this AM, with no wind. We'd love 29.

Forecast high of 16 for Christmas day. Should be a good day if I can get all the sleds running.

We're on pace to break the record for Dec. snowfall. I've had the snowblower out at least twice a week for the last 3 weeks. I've got a 5ft deep "channel" for a front walk, which blows full again almost daily.

Time to jump up to a bigger snowblower....
