So my little cleaning project went a little overboard...

The Plan...

Clean and Beautify:
- Take off, blasting and painting all the parts I possibly can pull off the motor (intake plenum, lower intake, intercooler, inner fender, battery tray, accessory brackets, all misc brakets and parts, etc)

Project Run Cooler:
- Running rubber hose through the passenger fender for the intercooler water lines
- Adding a high flow intercooler pump hotwired to always run
- Adding a 7" intercooler fan that will always run
- New 160 degree thermostat
- Volvo electric fan with mounting kit

Project Breathe Better:
- relocate the battery with a small PC680
- make a cold air intake with the stock orange turbo inlet elbow and a K&N filter
- Adding a solid tubo to intercooler pipe
- New silicon connectors from throttle body to intake

- Odyssey Drycell PC680 Battery

- Trans Cooler install kit

- Standard Motor Products Fuel Injector O-Rings

-Summit By K&N Replacement Performance Air Filter

- Johnson SyTy Intercooler Pump

- Mr. Gasket Thermocap Radiator Cap

- New Prestige alarm remote

- 20 foot 3/4" heater hose
- hose elbows
- Water pump



Gaskets:
- Victor Reinz Lower Intake Gaskets

- Victor Reinz Valve Cover Gasket

- Victor Reinz Upper Plenum Gasket (SyTy)

- Victor Reinz Throttle Body Gasket (SyTy)

- Fel-Pro Water Neck Gaskets
- GM Thermostat gasket
- GM Syty Timing Cover Gasket kit

Oh! And a t-shirt!

Nice! I dig the Volvo fan! I scored one, now I just have to save up for a mounting kit/relay/etc.

Your engine bay looks amazing. I might try that one day. :lol: But for now, I'll be happy with driving my truck again. :lol:

Shuggs, I want to clean up my motor as much as i can and i decided the only way to do it is like what you did. Take as much as i can off clean it, paint it and put it back. Now who is victor? I want to order the manifold gasket, valve cover gasket and plenum gasket.

Just noticed that I never replied to this. lol You can tell I have been working my new job fior over a year and have no spare time anymore. :rant:
