Ive been having to drive the Sy for the past few days and with a good 30 mile commute to work one way (mostly open highways), I was bound to run into something.
The other day, a black fullsize chevy dually who I always see runs up next to me at one of the very few red lights I have on the way to work. Nothing but open 2 lane in front of me and I already see him inching away waiting for the green. Light changes and I let him get going for a moment so I could just slowly roll into it and punch it (was already low on gas). He didnt get but a length off the light before I put him away. Of course, he was surprised so came back on me at about 70mph. He punches it. Again..let him get a length out and roll into it WOT. Made sure to roll down the pass window enough so he could see me glancing at him with a smile as I moved on by him without effort. We did a few more little light roll ons before we got back into town again where he was stoked and threw me the thumbs up. :tup:
Had a kid today in another fullsize tahoe in front of me sitting at a light to get on the highway. He musta been a tweaker cause I could see him checkin his mirrors and moving around in the seat like he was trying to impress everyone. I finally see him catch me sitting behind him and see the "oh shit" come out of his mouth and reaching over to the passenger making him turn around. Light goes green and he guns it onto the on-ramp thinking he is going to leave me. Yeah yeah, im still on your ass....please move or go faster so I can get away from you. As soon we got to the end of the on-ramp I saw I had a clear section of highway, so I just powerhoused around him and took off. Of course, I see him now weaving in and out of traffic after me. I stay cruising at 80mph in my lane while after about 10 lane changes later, he is sitting next to me. Already seeing what kinda driver he was (changing lanes into slower traffic and having to change back when he didnt have to change in the first place).... I start to just slowly ease faster when I see him punch it. Fine. I got WOT and make one lane change. At this point, the kid is lost in traffic but could see him trying to weave in and out again to catch me. Thankfully, my exit was just ahead and got off before he got up to me. Last thing I wanted was this dumbass getting into a wreck cause he was to stupid to realize that there was no way he was going to keep up. :roll:
Looks like im driving the truck probably for the rest of the week....so im sure there might be more to add here.
And of course, just so there is no BSing the stories, here's proof of the dually
