I'm just waiting to see the difference in performance from up in Indania vs florida weather wise. :roll: AND being that I have never done ANY tuning on hardly anything ever before in my life, its going to be fun so to speak. :D

sweet.... i havent driven the thing really in the past 8 weeks... i loosened it up the IC when I did the water pump so I could put my fat hand down in there to loosen the orange tube hose clamp off the turbo.... guess I missed tightening it back up while putting it back together in the dark with a flash light :)

typhoons are slow as hell anyhow :)

i bought the truck with that JET chip in it...thats why it got swapped with a custom single program. im pretty sure its a 2 bar.

sweet. what all is different in this chip? Is it like an ultimate bin? Yeah tys are slow as balls.

Jordan.....I was gonna do some chip work on the blue Ty when Adam had it. I still plan on doing some custom tuning on his new truck at the May meet, so if you want, I can do a custom chip for your's as well while I'm down.

Hood, I believe it was one of your single program chips:

No boost flag
No speedo flag
16psi
IC pump on with ignition
No EGR

rock on... we'll have lots of laptops floating around and many guys with tuning experience, Hood being the top guy probably.


Hood, just a recap for what I need done:

Im bringing ChromeBoy. Im taking out the Ultimate 8:1 out and want to put back in a single program. I'll be using the chip out of the Sy, so we'll have to flash it. Basically want to do chromeboy with 17psi, fuel mileage, blah blah blah.

I'll be taking the ultimate from chromeboy and putting it into the Sy.... you mentioned you had some killer open DP bins from the 92, so whatever you want to go with, finally have a chance to run a few settings. Was thinking about doing like streetracing, strip, highway (fuel mileage), and whatever else you think you want to try. I still want to change out to the 2800 stall as well.

Come to think of it, that is one of my bins isn't it......should be something to build off of there, Jordan.

Adam.....I should be able to tune Chromeboy in no time. Probably take some time out Sat/Sun morn and do it while the air is still cool. If anybody else wants some tuning or a DM run, hit me up when I'm done with Adam as I'll be in that frame of mind. I'll probably go ahead and do the 8 bins for the Syclone before I leave, so just shoot me a PM of what all you want for it Adam.

Also, if anyone needs and parts brought to the meet (however big or small), just PM me and I'll bring 'em.

Hey Hood,
Take a look at Maxtors forsale thread on #1713. Seeing I know nothing about that, think you might be able to run me thru some of that stuff in May? Mark and I are going to go over it for most of next Friday when I go and pick the truck up, but knowing nothing about tuning, you might be able to help me out as well?

Sure Tim.....no problem. Hmmmmm......what would everyone think of a mini Tech Session on tuning (the basics)? Don't want to get too technical, but at the same time, I know a lot of you are tired of hearing "Tuning is the key" and having no idea of where/how to start. Just a thought......

:D I'm tired of hearing about tuning is the key already and I dont even have the truck :lol:

Tuning is everything on most of the stuff I'm wanting to get into. I was starting to get into it with my Z28, Not doing anything to it, just reading up on stuff. But I lost intrest. :roll:

If everyone wants to do the session, I could surely go over all the basics of bin editing (fuel maps, timing tables, TC lockup, etc.....) and some of the advanced stuff (EGR mod, WG control editing, etc.....). Not that I (by any means) claim to know a great deal about this stuff, but I'll be happy to share the knowlege that I've obtained to this point. Doesn't matter to me either way.....give tuning session or enjoy the beach with girlfriend.

im almost positive its one of your bins in the royal, hood.

as for tech session, hell yeah.... you know we'll be up all night anyhow BSing.


hood, for the 8n1 for the Sy... doesnt matter what we do, just get the damn thing to go 11s once the propshaft and TC is replaced :)

actually, i think something like:

1. Base - 16psi street
2. Streetrace - 19-20psi
3. Highway - Set for crusing and fuel mileage
4. Valet Setting - 800 rpm limit, 0 boost, whatever you can do.

then whatever you want to do for the other open 4 settings. do your crazy 50# open DP bins :)
