We had a 500FWP civic around here also. It was killing cars that run mid-high 10's in the 1/4 from a roll. The car would not begin to hook up until about 60mph even with DR's. At least he was not as bad as most people about bragging about his car. It was very fast, my vette would be useless even as a camera car for his races. He did not have alot of money in his engine. Most honda guys exagerate or over build becasue they have no idea how to tune. Another local has gone 11's on a stock b16 in a hatchback with a turbo and excellent tuning.

We have a civic here that the guy drives daily and its good for 11's or low 12's. Watched him run it at the track, low 12's without traction. It came out of the hole fine, then when it spooled they let loose.
Another guy has an integra, low 11's high 10's and he drives it almost daily. I had vids somewhere but I guess not anymore.
I have seen 93 civic hatchbacks go low 10's and look like a POS. The cars I really watch out for though are those damn older talons and eclipses. I have seen a lot of those in 10's. They break all the time but they can be sleepers.
They can be fast cars, but its cooler to run those times in a 4000lb suv :tup:

Don't forget the NSX, not really too great in the straight line for the pricetag ... but put it on a road course and it's a different story. Not that I am biased towards the NSX or anything.

Yeah it sounds ghey but there are a few hatches in the area that have crazy mph. The turbos they run are as big as my head and I'm pretty sure they're spraying on top of that. Traction/FWD owns them though. Everytime I've seen them at the track their times are all over the place. That why they all "frum roll" (as we call it here) on the streets.
Why on earth someone would do that to a Honda?...Not sure. How their cars are still in one piece....Not sure either.
I'll go see if I can find a vid this kid recently posted on a local forum...

I don't know if it's the same TT camaro, but I have a video of a new style black TT camaro messing around and blowing away rice burners on Ares. ( Napster type program ) I don't know how to host videos though....

I had a honda pull next to me once when I was in my Elcamino. he paced me for a while then jumped on it. I wounder if I am in a video somewhere. I can see it now "RACING A 500HP BLOWN ELCAMINO... Easy win. ...OK. He was fast and probably would beat me but not that easy.
