Well. I'm running a stock turbo with the stock internal WG, and a manual control valve. From a dead stop, i have pretty solid boost. But if i'm cruising, and "sneak up" on the throttle, my boost just keeps climbing. So I'm going the route of an external wastegate on the exhaust crossover pipe.
I realize you can get the same info on the SyTyarchives but...
A 3/8" drive rachet with a 8" extension and a deep well 1/2" socket, fit just about perfect for each of the four nuts.
