I have decided at this point that the muffler on my ATR stainless system is too loud. First, a question. Can it be installed backwards? The thing is as loud as my pickup with an open cat on it. Other question is what other options are there for mufflers.

Haha, I don't mind so much but my dad is driving the truck now and it is driving him insane. I personally like the nice rumble it has to it...

I was thinking the same thing... heck, if swapping it around does help I'll trade mufflers :lol:

Ive got a cat only and when my dad borrowed it for a week he hated it. I think it sounds great (and it was free..... )

if it has baffles it will be more quiet by installing it backwards. if it just has a bunch of holes inside (like a magnaflow, ultraflow, borla xr1, etc) then it shoudnt make a difference which way it is installed.

Usually it is pretty quiet as long as the cat is installed and working properly.,

I'll have to check it when I go home... it's whatever the ATR system came with, and it has a PTE high flow cat on it.
