Hi Boosted.... No prob.....
From what I can see in the diagrams the harness in the car is exactly the same between the two systems. The 'pulse' system is the intermittent wiper system.
The 'pulse' system has its own, specific switch and motor/control module (module built into the motor it appears).
The 'conventional' system has its own, specific switch as well. The windshield wiper motor it uses is much simpler than the pulse-type motor.

Looks like you just need to pair up the right switch and motor assembly... maybe a GM parts guy could look those up for you and get you the correct pair.

any way you can scan a full schematic for the wiper circuit from switch to motor and email it to me?

Isn't this the truth! I pulled my inner fender to check my wastegate linkage and am now replacing the turbo.... gotta love these trucks!

It's a love/hate relationship that's for sure! I think I would be a lot less stressed if i didn't have this truck, but then again would I do will all that spare time??

Thank you so much for the wire diagrams!! THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN DISCOVERED!! The portion of the harness that meets up with the engine harness has different wires in different positions! First one I noticed was the squirter wire isn't in the right spot, it's one postition over. I guess 92 and 93's are different.

Now I have 2 options, switch some wires to the correct spots or put a 92 harness back in if I don't want a hack job!!

Re: erratic voltage when wipers are "Off"

Got it fiexd!!!! The squiter (pink) wire was in a different position on the 93 than it is on my 92. I popped the plastic clips on the fire wall harness that meets up with the under dash harness and moved the wire to the correct 92 spot and low and behold... problem solved!! I should have thought to look there when the squiters didn't work.! Anways, lot of aggrevation but it's finally fixed! Still saved a ton of money doing the harness swap myself rather than having a "proffesional" do it. There was a green wire in the spot where my pink squirter wire needed to be but that green one was not on my original harness so I tucked it up under the dash. Thanks ALL who helped!

Rob could you send me the same diagram? I've got the same problem as Matt except it's a '92 harness in a '93 Ty. I have all the diagrams except the chassis ones. Thanks.

Tom this was so long ago that I doubt I have the diagrams on my computer anymore. I probably have the 92 diagram in my book that I can scan and send over to you. Wyo was a life saver on this issue, the diagrams he sent just pointed me in the right direction by making me see that the wiper circuit was different from 92 to 93. I just started tracing wiper wires from the switch to the fuse panel. I'm thinking back to a few years ago but I think it was the white wire from wiper harness switch that was in a different position from 92 to 93 on the back side of the fuse box. I pulled the pins and relocated it and that fixed my wiper issue. There may have been more that were different but I don't recall on the top of my head. I'm wondering if this why I'm having issues with my fog light voltage currently?? I am going to have to go through those diagrams as well....
