EngineData CheckSum Error? - in Datamaster

New to the Datamaster scene....did a quick recording tonight. Ty seems to pull strong and then I get the beep in Datamaster - "EngineData CheckSum Error". What's the cause of this?

I am running an ATR pitbull chip. It looks like I'm only getting 88% TPS.....I'll need to look at that to get 100%.

I am attaching the file.

Thanks everyone!

Anyone have any feedback on my DM file? Is my timing an issue? Seems like 'Spark Advance' may be high? Are my injectors looking OK from this file?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

It all looks OK to me in this file.... there's not a lot of info there. I'd get the 100% TPS thing figured out then do a WOT run from a stop up to the top of at least 3rd.... then some shorter tromps.

it looks like it might be detonating though?....is it OK to still do another run or two? does the timing look weird to you?

also, it's showing almost 16psi boost in the file.....my AutoMeter gauge barely goes above 4psi on the needle...maybe it's hooked up incorrectly? where is the 16psi boost read from?

Well, you're getting just 2.6 degrees of KR. You could switch brands of gas and see if that goes down. You are running 16psi of boost, but with your KR and timing that's OK. The ECM reads boost via the MAP.. you may want to check to make sure the line to your autometer doesn't have a kink in it.

OK...I had the MAP setting wrong on the last file...I only have a 2bar MAP. I got 100% TPS now. Here is the file. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

From what I see, I'm only getting around 13psi with an ATR Pitbull....I was expecting closer to 18psi. Vaccuum leaks have been checked already....going to look at wastegate arm tomorrow and verify it is set correctly to OEM specs.

Any advice on DM file? Thanks!

you do not want to go 18 on a pitbull,Keep it around stock levels.13 is about all you want on a 2 bar.

If 14.7psi is stock....I shouldn't be at 13psi with an ATR Pitbull chip. Since it increases boost and adjust fuel, I would think I would be around 18psi...not below stock levels.

Will be readjusting wastegate arm to OEM specs soon.

Stock boost target is actually ~13.8psi, but if often will overshoot and hit 15psi (it will also dip down into high 12's) The stock boost control is closed loop and it will try to compensate to hit target boost, so when it over over 13.8psi, it tries to reduce the boost by opening the boost solenoid/actuator, when it under 13.8psi it tries to increase the boost by closing the boost solenoid/actuator.

The ATR Pitbull uses a open loop boost control. It opens the boost solenoid to a preset amount. You can adjust the boost by adjusting the wastegate actuator rod.

I wouldn't get too caught up in boost level your running. I have seen a couple good running trucks that can run pump gas and 18psi, but I know of quite a few that can only run 16 or 17psi. Slowly increase you boost level and monitor your knock retard/detonation.

Re: EngineData CheckSum Error? - in Datamaster

The pitbull will read to 1 bar of boost, it will be able to go higher than that by adding a lot of fuel at the top of fueling. My Typhoon ran better at 14-15psi on a stock chip. I thinking my boost was about 13psi when I stuck it initially as well.
