Engine Rebuild??

Guys and Gals,

I Now have the motor torn down and ready to be sent to the shop, I need suggestions on pistons , rings, and other mods while the engine is out of my sy.....I believe that we will have to bore the cylinders 30 over to get the groove out of cylinder #2.....let me know you ideas so I can get it done right...have roughly 1500.00 to get it done...

1500 or 15000? either way from experience it aint happening? But your going stock..

I have 3800 in mine with eagle rodes, trw pistons, trw crank, block work, head work, intake work, cam, lifters, timing chain, and a few other stuff. I dont think that you can get the engine done for 1500. The gaskets were 290, pistions were 240, total seal gapless rings were 135, bearings were 70, cam was 300, and a whole lot of other stuff. But good luck thought, just my $.02

if there is no gap how do you get them onto the pistion?

they are neat, they have no gap in them so you get more compression and less blow by. They are sold bigger and then you have to file fit them. You should get some they are the best rings that you can get the only problem is that they are so much, but they are worth it.
