Engine rebuild ?

I have about 4500 to spend. What should I have done to my engine? I am just looking for some ideas and if you have the parts for sale let me know, since I will be needing everthing.

4500.00 if you can do the work yourself you should be able to rebuild the motor completely and have &&&&left over even using the good parts. ken

talk to Michael Hood on the board, sytyguy. he runs a auto parts store, and can get you the engine parts you will need, and the gasket kit that you will also need. great prices and good on shipping too.

he is who i call first, whenever i need somthing.

if youre gonna spend 4,500, why not use JE like most people?

I would if they were not 600 I can get trw at cost and do the same thing.

I have been thinking about a rebulid for a long time. What is the price difference between the TRWs and the JEs? Is there a performance issue?

there are no preformace differences between the pistons. The je are like 250 or so more then the trw pistons

Are they stronger? I would hope they do something better for the extra $250.

JE's are not really meant for the street. they can make lots of noise and be a pain to deal with...go with SRP's if anything...it is a good choice and it's what I run in my motor as well as several others I know of.
