Engine rebuild threads/posts

Does anyone know of any threads that detail out or have good info on engine rebuilds on syty? The search brings up a plethora of info, but not always directly related.

Just curious if there has been a good writeup on here before I go deep down the rabbit hole.

How much HP do you want? Stock crank, stock block? Stock turbo? Stock heads? Stock transmission? Stock computer? Just fill the rabbit hole with money or stay stock.

The truck currently has an aging Jasper engine in it that was there when I got it. I'm looking for a block at the moment to replace it.

I'm not looking to go big horsepower, I'm looking to have something reliable to not have to worry about down the road. The truck is basically stock other than suspension. I plan on redoing the exhaust and fuel system which is also showing age.

I'm guessing there are a lot of past conversations on the topic that I'm just not finding.

Heres what I went with for a stock rebuild. I feel, personally, that its overbuilt for stock horsepower. But might be exactly what you're looking for if you wanna go stock and don't want to worry about the engines internals.
