Engine is DEAD!!! Please help!

Greetings to all!
Two weeks ago I bought the Typhoon 1992. It is – absolutely stock with no modifications, and in bad conditions (unfortunately)…. :(

One of cylinder has compression ratio - 4.1-1. Mileage 150 000.
I’m going to buy rebuilt engine (maybe it is a good idea????).

But, I did't find a engine for sale. All shops I found, sonoma's and S-15's engines are sell.

Will you tell me, Typhoon and Sonoma have equal engines?
As far as I know Sonoma has a different compression ratio… What is the difference?

Please give me some links where I can buy a remanufactured engine with typhoon’s heads.

wow, where to start..

1) syclone/typhoon engines are VERY different from a regular 4.3
2) you can have your engine rebuilt or look to the vendors on this site for a rebuilt motor
3) good luck.

Give Mike a call at RPM. They are a vendor on the vendors list. You wont be sorry.

As in Russia? Wow I think thats a first.

What are you going after? Do you want it to be back to stock, or do you want to mod it and make it faster?

I think, I'll add some mods to be faster. First thing replace headers and cat-back.
Engine I need to back to stock. Primarily I need a everyday SUV with good acceleration (I've already mad supercharged grand cherokee for adrenalin's rides).

Not equal.
Lower comp is because we have turbo.

I would not replace manifolds for headers if you got the stock LB4 heads and stock turbo.
Spend that cash on a strong rebuildt on the motor instead, and maybe going for Vortech heads. And put some cash into your bankaccount for the tranny since you gone have the Typhoon as a daily fast acceleration truck.

And Walbro fuelpump and AFPR thats a first.

You might change your mind about your Grand Cherokee with a boost launch and a few mods.

By the way, who knows what are typicals childhood's diseases of Typhoon?

And could you tell me, what parts I need to exchange certainly when Typhoon's engine rebuild. Valves, pistons, springs, pushrods, rings, gaskets..... what else?

well, these trucks are just fast as hell if they run good, Walbro feulpump 3bap map sensor, adjustable Feulpressure regulator, and a chip and a goot tune up will easily be faster than your cherokee
