engine block pics

does anyone have any pics off ther engine block without flex plate bolted on a bolt flew out and ended up in my trans dust cover trying to see where it came from before i tear into it thanks blkty

its a 3/8-16 9/16 head and under the head it measures 5/8 long thanks blkty

If it ended up in your trans dust cover as your 1st post stated. You may have lost a TC bolt, I just cant remember the size. I think it may be a 15mm head which a 9/16 wrench would fit.

i dont think its the flywheel to crank bolts because they are flanged bolts the ground strap bolts are still there i just dont know where it came from or how it would get in there

post a pic dude - I can't remember sizes...

TC bolts are way shorter than that.

3/8-16 5/8 is a lower intake bolt bolt or possibly from your engine mounts.

distributor bolt is the same, as well as the brackets for holding the coil or the MAP sensor - taken the valve covers off recently? would you have taken any of those brackets off?

Here's the only pic of there rear of my engine. There's no bolts behind the flex plate that I can remember.

I just went out to my spare engine that doesn't have the flex plate on it. There are no other bolts on the back side of the block that would end up behind your trans dust cover, but the TC bolts and the flex plate bolts. I would take a picture for you but I don't have the means too, the cable was lost for the camera. Could you have lost a transmisson pump bolt?

it must have just fallin in somehow maybe the hole in the dust cover for the starter but i dont seem to be missing any other bolts thanks for all your guys help blkty
