Electrical NOOB in need of help

I live by few rules....one of them is, "I don't F&^* with electricity and in return, it won't F^&* with me."

I am about to put the battery in the back, and I have questions...hopefully someone can help me out on this one...

If I run the positive (1ga) direct to the starter, can I run the neg direct to the frame and leave it at that?

OR....

If I run a positive and negative (1ga) to something like this in the engine bay:
terminals.jpg

could I then connect my existing cables to these terminals?

Thanks!

Go with plan B & the terminals.

Plan B would require you to cut the lugs off of the current battery posts and fit it to the bolt on the back of the remote jumper cable posts that you have pictured.
