EGT whats normal ???

Driving at about 80 my exhaust temp is 1200 with out boosting. Now the people who did the job for me but the sensor right behind the o2 sensor about an inch away. im not sure if im doing any damage. drove from Miami to SC with the water temp. not passing 190 deg. Truck ran great. so any info would help. TIA :tup:

Is your DP heat wraped??...if it is you'll deffinetly see higher temps

when mine wasn't wraped ........raging around town and 100 on the highway it would'nt go above 1250

After I wraped it I've seen temps up to 1380 with my SPA Guage mounted in the same location as yours.

Your fine dude............deffenetly keep an eye on it though

Mine was about 2.5" behind the O2 sensor - I would see about 1000* cruising at 60mph.

mine is in the turbo exhaust housing. i see 1200 keeping a load on it for a few seconds when staging. with the atr headers i saw low 1700's on a run.
the atr headers were 1.50 inch. 304 ss at this temp makes the headers prone to crack.

with my new headers being 1.5/8 inch i see 1500. the new headers are 321 ss, so they can take more heat without the same problems.
