I need to get a head count from people that want to dyno their trucks this year. A price has not been set yet, and of course I know that is going to be the question most of you ask. The more people that want to run their truck, the cheaper it is going to be. We are not using the same place as last year, but I think you guys will be just as happy, if not happier this year. The guy that owns the place is a Porsche nut. The dyno is AWD just like last year, and the shop appears to be beautiful.

I need some feedback asap please. And if I missed anything, just ask
Thanks!

Re: Dyno on Friday

I will volunteer to have my laptop, cables and such there. I can guide as much as possible but remember it is hard to tell the condition of a truck you have never seen in just a few minutes.

I will do what I can to help.

Can the owners drive the vehicle? One of my pet peeves on dyno's is some won't let the owner drive. Lucky for me all the local dyno's let me drive.

What is the ball park price? Jeremy might for $50, $200 no. We are really not crazy about someone else that doesn't know the truck driving.

What about non SyTy's on the Dyno? I'd love to see what my bone stock '97 Volvo puts down at the Front wheels

I'm a maybe if I can dyno the Volvo an it's around $50....

I'm considering it.. just so i know how weak my truck actually is..

the shop last year was great.. they didn't even mind us having a few beers in the parking lot.. hopefully this place will be the same..

What is the cost for dyno run? How many runs do you get for the money?

Re: Dyno on Friday

Their insurance policy mandates that they have to be the ones driving the vehicle. Last year, they drove our trucks, and I don't think that anyone had any issues. As far as cost goes, i'm quite sure it will be reasonable. The more people that join in, the cheaper it gets. As far as tuning goes...that is going to be dependant on us. If time allows, yes I'm sure we can make adjustments, etc. They seem like really nice guys to work with and I don't forsee any issues....

They need a new insurance policy.

The local dyno's to me let us drive our own trucks. I can tell you Roberts sy will be on the dyno local to me before the nats. One of my stipulations on going to dyno was Robert would be driving not a shop monkey. I agree 99% of time it won't be issue. I am not going to be that 1%.

Isn't Jim going to come out and help get your truck running?

If all goes well Jim and I can get it running. We plan on going down on the 26th and 27th to get it running. Not sure if the motor will be broke in by the Nats. So I guess its a possibly maybe on the dyno.

Re: Dyno on Friday

Is there any possibility that the dyno will allow our guys to drive their trucks? Could you ask? I don't blame Robert for not wanting anyone else to handle his baby or anyone else for that matter. We do know our trucks better than anyone else.

Re: Dyno on Friday

Re: Dyno on Friday

is there really a difference between them driving and you driving if you're just sitting in the passenger seat monitoring/telling them what to do? There should be even less concerns since we're dealing w/ automatic trannies here.

Re: Dyno on Friday

Update on the dyno...
The owners of the dyno will be the ones to drive the trucks....I can not get them to make an exception...
Don't think this is too big of a deal..but I don't mind others driving my truck. Everyone can make their own judgment here...
Pricing will be about $100 for two pulls with wide band.

I need to put a final list together ASAP so please let me know who wants to be on the list so we can plan the day accordingly.

if I can get my rings to seat and get a half-way decent tune in, I'll do it.
