Dual Fuel Systems

As some of you know, I run two fuel systems. Was working on some manual brakes lastnight and thought I would snap this pic with my cell phone. No real point to it just wanted to share. You can see both regulators as well as the additional fuel cell. As I said it was a cell phone hence the poor quality.

The second is dedicated for the 1st stage of nitrous.

The main fuel tank supplies the fuel for when I drive around in street trim and when I use the fogger.

I did not want to put too much stress on the pump and the fuel system when i decided to ditch the progressive and go with a 2 stage setup.

The second fuel system is only used with the first stage of nitrous. It is a much safer combination to run a dedicated fuel system when running a nitrous application. I figure better safe than sorry.

i was planning on doing this myself w/ a sumped system for my primary system and the stock system for spray. sharp execution

Right, the primary one is sumped.

Do you think the regulator mount looks ok? Wasn't sure what I thought of that...

so you are going to have a fuel cell next to your engine? interesting....does that pass tech?

if it is an sfi approved container it will pass tech

Don't know the exact rule but we have brought a few vehicles to the track and have not had an issue so I would have to say, yes. Not that that matters because there are plenty of other reasons to kick me out... mainly cage.

that setup looks clean but you might be better mounting them seperate one by the aux tank and one on the firewall for the fuel rails. you're going to y into you fuel rail, not a loop around right?

you need to look at my buddies 78 turbo malibu with a gn power plant in it. He has built a switching dual fuel systems that works automatically. Car has twelve 83lb injectors on the intake. www.turbomalibu.com.

The dual injectors is an interesting idea! I cant see us fitting it on a stock manifold but maybe on a vortec edelbrock 2114... Hmmm an interesting thought for crispy... I just need to find out if any of my 60lb injectors survived....
