Dual exhaust

Wondering if anyone has successfully converted to dual exhaust.
Syclone is easy,but I have a TYPHOON
That would be not true duals, but only from the muffler back.
If so ,could you post some pics of how you installed the left hand pipe ????
Also what dual exit muffler to retain the throaty sound.
I am old school and that one dumb pipe sticking out back, reminds me of a typical Volvo / Subaru or yuk Porsche European configuration. Just not cool to me:tdown::tdown::tdown:

As I said, many porsches came with single pipe.
Somehow flames shooting out at the one side / one pipe doesn't impress me.
This DUAL exhaust car looks awesome even if it is a P:tup:eek:rsche

Can anyone answer my original question Re dual exhausts / one each side.????
And no I am not interested in 2 little pipes side by side on my Typhoon

That look would be cool, I say go for it. I understand that you're after feedback and pictures from those that have done it, but it won't do anything to help performance. It may actually hinder it. I like that look too though, but I'm a Mustang Cobra and Lightning guy. Shhhh... don't tell.

Big in the rear
I have the 3" DP to a cut out, to a high flow cat, then a 3" in dual 2.25" out magnaflow, it runs up over the rear axle the spreads out to the other side. With stainless camaro rectangle tips. Love the look. And with the dump on it was stealth mode.

Been a while but I think that's how it's run, over the axle then turned to the other side.

Re: Dual exhaust

Here are the few pics i have of it. And it does start to turn before the rear axle, and goes right over the rear end.

SyTyless......for now!
Re: Dual exhaust

Do you have a Syclone or Typhoon? There's more real estate available under the pickups for doing dual exhaust than the utilities, since the fuel tank sits behind the rear axle. It's very tough to do but not impossible.

Re: Dual exhaust

I have a typhoon and it is extremely busy tight and cluttered drivers side rear.
Anybody done duals on a typhoon ???????

Yeah I can dig up some pics, but my question is why?

Add more restrictions to a turbo exhaust? Makes no sense.

If you just want the look mock up a dummy pipe. Don't actually dual it.Unless you have 2 turbos.

Re: Dual exhaust

Wasn't there a truck with side exiting exhaust? Like a side pipe, but it was molded into the cladding like an extension? I think it was white or red. (Solid). I remember seeing it, I am sure someone has a pic out there

Re: Dual exhaust

I like the exhaust...I think its something different then the norm...I prefer no exhaust showing but thats just me. On another note...what size are the Z06 wheels you are running? Are they 17 or 18? and are they the same from front to rear in terms of size and width?

Not a fan at all personally. I'd rather keep it single saving weight and less shit to deal/worry about but that's just me.

Re: Dual exhaust

Just a thought.
Just about every "high performance" model of any European North American and Asian vehicle built has Dual exhaust. The engineers must know something.

2 1/2" + 2 1/2" = 5" that's 2" more breathing than I presently have.

Never mind it gives the truck a" balanced" look at the back,
