I just received this note from Barry Tisdale regarding my Front Propshaft safety Loop.

" Hi, Phil -

Thought you'd like to about another disaster averted by your propshaft loop - rear joint broke, just finished getting the truck back home. I just put $2k into the tranny, so's I'm *real* happy I put your loop on!

Man, that sure makes a helluva noise when the shaft flails around in the
loop!! Better than seeing trans fluid all over the road, though...

Thanks much - excellent product.

Barry"

5th documented save!!!!

I have plenty in stock, both Front and Rears

Shipped to the lower 48 they are still $160.00 per set. Ron Gregory accepts credit card orders for me also.

Hey Phil,
I bought a set off you at the nats a few years back and haven't put 'em on yet.
Somebody local wants 'em.
My question is, are there any major differences from the ones I have and any new sets you have made?
Maybe I will -ahem- upgrade.

Are the old ones better, worse, same?

Send PM if necessary.

Thanks man!!!

Loops

The front loop simply bolts on. The rear one installs around the driveshaft, so you'll need to drop the shaft. On some jack stands or ramps, it's pretty easy. On a lift it's easier. Without either, it's hard.

Anyway. No welding or drilling.

The loops are MIG welded, JIG Bent, Cadmium plated and I use either grade 5 or 8 bolts/nuts.

One deep transmission oil pan will give some clearance problems with the front loop.

Some aftermarket propshafts have a larger rear u-joint on the propshaft (where it bolts up to the T-Case). Some of these cause problems also.

If you have a stock propshaft, I've bolted these on in less than 30 minutes, including the time to jack up the truck and put it on either ramps or jack stands. I've done rears in about the same amount of time.

Hey Phil,

I've talked to you before about your front loop, but never made the purchase. Now I want one. Please e-mail me and let me know where to send the check, or I can Pay-Pal ya if want.

Hamrhead@netcarrier.com

Thank You!

I've got one of the front prop shaft loops that I would be willing to sell, it didn't work on my Ty since I apparently have an aftermarket shaft with the larger u-joint (it would hit the loop under acceleration). It is a little scratched up from going on and off my Ty, but functionally like new. Make me an offer.

Which pan interferes with the front loop? Is it the Derale with the tubes or possibly the extra cap. GM one? Luckily you mentioned this as I'm deciding between the two. Thanks,
Jeremy

75Monte or Phil which propshaft is this that you had clearence issues/trouble with??? Reason I ask is that I just placed an order for the Al Dustan/Dynotech unit yesterday..

Phil I'm also curious about which tranny pan you had issues with.. I ordered my front/rear loops a year or two ago (sorry can't member) and have yet to install.. was looking to do so when the new Dynotech unit arrived...

Not exactly sure since it was on it when I got it, maybe Jimmy (previous owner) can help us out with that one. Otherwise, I am going to be under the Ty in the next week or so, I will see if it has any identifying characteristics.

Thanks... appreciate it... propshaft wasn't cheap and it's supposed to be big.. Also might require modification of the tranny linkage to fit...

After I installed Al's Dynotech propshaft I had to cut the shifter linkage. It is huge compared to the stock propshaft. I thought that I had trimmed enough of the bracket off but now when I put it in 1st I can hear it rubbing.
