Drivers door lock switch

So I think my drivers door lock interior switch is going. Sometimes when iI move it forwards or backwards it doesn't do anything and then sometimes it works perfect.

I have looked on the internet but I haven't been able to find the same one as in our trucks. They are flat where as this one has a tab. Should I just try the dealership?

just recently i was having a problem with my passenger side interior lock. worked perfectly with the key but not remote (on some days). took it out to grease the slides and nothing.

figured it might be the actuator going out. then, i remembered i read on here using "search" that someone switched out the relay under the dash and that was their fix. i located the relay on mine and all i did was adjust the connector to make sure it was getting a good connection and it fixed my problem.

worth a try if you haven't tried it yet. mine was near the steering column. it's wide looking like 2 relays side by side. good luck

I tried finding a new one online and couldn't. I ended up going to a junk yard. I found one in a blazer that was the same as factory. I took it from the pass side figuring it wasn't used a lot.

more specifically, where did you find the relay under your dash. I've got the new part, having a hard time locating the relay with my rats nest of alarm wires under there. Is it above or below the steering column? Any hints on its location appreciated!

mine was near the steering column. it looks like a double relay because the size of it. (side by side)

potter & brumfield may be printed on it.
