Dome pressure sensor

This may be a stab in the dark, but does anyone have suggestions on a dome pressure sensor? I can use a MAP sensor or get a Holley hard piped pressure sensor. I am leaning toward the MAP sensor, because the physical connections would be easier and fit within my space constraints. I am looking to use the Holley to do boost control using a dual port wastegate (external) with dome control only. The wastegate only has one port on the dome. The main reason is: #1 to have a new project, and #2 to provide a safety from over boost from a failure of a plumbing line, and also meth flow failure due to whatever reason.

Re: Dome pressure sensor

I use the 100 psi Holley sensor. Dome pressure dual solenoid. Had a slight issue but it wasn't due to the system. So far I like it.

I have an eboost2 in my vette which is nice, but the integration of the Holley is very convenient

Re: Dome pressure sensor

I will be using only one solenoid due the the limited outputs of the Holley HP. I think I can make it work, and I appreciate your input. The manual boost controller I have now works good, but I am looking to integrate some safety features.

Re: Dome pressure sensor

Single solenoid should be fine.

I think holley also recommends dual solenoids for people who use co2 to cut down on the amount of usage but I'm just using my compressor discharge as a source.

Re: Dome pressure sensor

I whish they'd explain the single solenoid configuration, setup, and wiring, settings, etc...
as well as they do the dual.

We will figure it out together, Tyson. I will concentrate on the dual port setup, and you can figure out the single port setup. I think yours is going to be more challenging.

Re: Dome pressure sensor

Hey Randy... I'm going to try to use a dual Holley solenoid system on my Sy and was wondering for a pressure sensor can we somehow steal the signal from.the GM MAP sensor or does it have to be a standalone sensor??

Fast Black TA, your setup sounds exactly how I was thinking on doing mine, but call me Polish.... The Holley instructions are kinda hard to follow at times.. Do you happen to have a pic of how you plummed your setup??

Thanks guys,

For dome pressure, it has to be an independent sensor. You do have the option of using a MAP sensor for dome pressure readings, but it has to be a separate sensor.
