the expensive parts (e.g. coilovers, etc.) for sure ...
... the cheap ones (as far as there are cheap parts for a syty here in austria :squint: ) i don't even recognize by myself :silly:

at least, she hates it when i spent time and money with my ty...
... but when she's behind the wheel, she can't hide her BIG smile because of the "ponderosa" under the hood :woot:

My girlfriend knows how much I spend. I also ignore her for days at a time because Im working on the truck. She got mad one time about me ignoring her, so I ignored her more because I didnt want to fight. She gave up and apologized. For my birthday last month she gave me $150 to spend toward my truck, That got her 30 minutes worth of attention. Then I walked out of the bedroom and into the garage

In most case she knows what I have spent or she doesn't want to know about the little stuff. However, I have done quite a few 'like kind exchanges' from my Corvette. (ie sold the performance parts off the Corvette to fund the Sy's mods). My wife know what I spent on my old Corvette, since I told and most of it was before we were sharing funds. She probably wouldn't be too happy if I added up all the receipts for the Sy though. The number is probably larger than she wants to know.

my wife knows how much gas i put into my sy........parts.....well, she knows that too. but, when she does get to ride in it she likes it. we bought it as a wedding gift for me with the intention of being involved in building the truck together, so far it is moving pretty slow, but now that we have a garage and she is working it may pick up a little as i have been able to buy some parts here and there. so wish me luck guys, she is a great woman that i cant say enough good things about. i love her with all my heart. and yes she is sitting right here while i am typing this

My Sweetheart knows everything I buy and what it's for because I have nothing to hide. She just wishes I would get content with it and start working on the W-30 and the Pace Car.

Mine knows, and me and the UPS guy are on a first name basis, as long as the bills get paid she is ok with it, but she thinks its a big waste of money.

I find all this kinda funny. For one I know how much parts cost, cause that is how me and Dave met. (at the drag strip). It aint cheap to go fast. Heck it aint cheap to go slow anymore. I look at it like this, it is something you can enjoy. As long as the bills are paid have fun. Race, smoke the tires, take in the wonderful smell of high octane fuel have your heart pound at the soung of a turbo spooling up. Life is to short not too.
