Does this intercooler pump wiring look correct?

Does this intercooler pump wiring look correct? Black to brown,, orange to black.. The new pump has a positive and negative. I'm gonna use a multimeter to see which is which, but I just want to see if this was messed with because it wasn't moving all that much. Kinda looked like it pulled the waterline down a bit and slowly moved. I'd see the discoloration in the old coolant barely move.

Both ends should be black and orange, you should be able to track the Orange wire all the way back to the Pump control relay if it has not been dorked with.

This web Archive has the indication for Black and Orange on both ends. Page 5 of 26 uploaded.

A = Positive B = Negative on the male connector. So it was orange going to black on the original pump. I remembered I had a plug set with everything to pin it and swap so I made a straight connector. Screenshot_20220805-133717_Gallery.jpg

Yeah that looks like the pump was replaced incorrectly then, they have the signal going to ground, didn't even realize it from the image. Sorry about that.
