you go someplace with your truck and it doesnt matter if your there for 10 mins or 10 hours, when you come out, there is a friggin note under your wiper,

"interested in selling your truck?
(xxx) xxx-xxxx
-john doe."

this has happened not once, not twice, but 3 freakin times in 3 totally different places in the last 2 weeks. Its really starting to irritate me. I mean if I was interested in selling my truck, I would put a neon orange For Sale sign in the damn window!!!

I'll admit i did it to 2 different typhoons i saw around towns sitting in parking lots before i bought my. I had not intentions to piss anyone off but they were happy to see that someone really liked there automobiles and i talk to both on the phone and test drove one. I would feel proud to see that people care about your car, call them up and at least talk to them i am sure they would love to have at least a little conversation.

Maybe you should leave a "Not For Sale" sign on your dash everywhere you park it.
actually, i posted the same question on the S-Series boards and this was one of the reponces I got....

haha call them and just say no.. and hang up!!!!!

errr get a little sticker that says not for sale!!!

I think im gonna go with option #1 from a pay phone :D

I definately dont wanna talk or have a conversation with them  and they certianly wouldnt give me what I would want or need from it.

I just find it funny that I have had this truck for 3 years, and now all of a sudden, 3 times in 2 weeks...like WTF?

I have had only had one random person come upto me from the street who talked to me about my Ty. At the track, I have had people ask me if I am selling my sy. Perhaps I should bring my Ty to the track to attempt to sell :)

honestly, morgan, i am more flattered than irritated when either i get something unedr my wiper, or someone outright asks. obviously it means someone REALLY wants my truck, so much so to ask about selling it, when clearly i have little intention of doing so (well, lately though....)

I've done that to a few of my friends. The number I leave is the local salvage yard. Good for grins.

Jim, that's pretty good....gonna hafta try that one. :D

The last time I got a note under my wiper it was a parking violation......I did get flagged down in traffic once by a guy in a Dodge Ram asking if I wanted to sell my truck. I said, "Yeah, right here" and pretended to get out of the truck in 5 mph traffic. Scared the hell out of him and I sped off.

I wouldn't want to call them and piss them off... what if they see your truck again days later.. and think hum.... that guy was a dick so why don't i use my key here and maybe there on that white paint of his... basically I wouldn't want more enemies that are obviously jealous of you truck then what you might have already.

Call them and tell them you need some money and need to sell it.

You are taking a major beating, but will let the truck go for $30k to pay off bills or some shit.

If they bite go buy 2 more, start over. :D

I suspect they won't bite, and may tell all their friends typhoons are like gold

how are they going to know its me from saying "no" and hanging up? i honestly dont think they would be able to put 2 & 2 together from a 2 letter word, nor do anything that drastic as a result. Besides, I want new paint.

I had my truck parked outside last year and got quite a bit of attention from passer'byers. Got notes on the front door and inquiries at odd hours of the day. The typical offer was usually in the 2-5k range, not realizing what the truck was. Seems they just liked the "ground effects". I naturally declined but offended nobody. Woke up one morning a couple days after the latest inquiry to find slashed tires.

I believe the rational was "if I cant have it, neither can you". Sux being the only caucasion fella on my street in Mexico, I mean....Houston

i get offers every once in awhile with both trucks...

used to get alot while working at autozone, everyone came in asking "whos syclone is that out there..... is it for sale?"

id entertain the offer and ask how much are they willing to give me....after i got a stupid low amount offered, id just chuckle and ask them to tack on quite a few more zeros...

you should get a new plate for the ty morgan....

got the note under the wiper once, while parked at the airport employee lot. I called, left a message, never heard back.

I'd sell it if I got offered the right price, but I don't think I could ever bring myself to put a Fd up looking "for sale" sign on it.

sh!t.....I'd be flattered...your truck MUST be nice,eh?
Exactly! A while back when I've just bought my Ty, I raced a guy in mudstain GT twice, two stoplights in a road. We stopped and talked, he offered me $2500 more than what I just bought my Ty 3 days ago. I wish I sold mine then, because the last 2 years I have it I put more than twice what I paid for the the Ty in it.
