hey guys i need some help . i installed a f/ p gauge on the ty so i could see what stock f/p was before installing an adj reg. and once i completed the job i checked the f/p on gage and when i grabbed the gage i could feel that the line and gage were pulsating .(( so do i have a bad stock reg.))the stock f/p was 35 psi so i looked at a/f gauge and it goes lean /rich at idle so i also look at boost gauge at idle i get 20 hg vacum. then i take it on the high way at 70 mph and i get 15 hg vacum and i look at a/f gauge and still rich so next day i put a new catalitic converter because i removed the original thinking it would help free up some power like on my gn but no. so yesterday i put a new converter and it still feels like crap .does any one know of any one in the bay area who can please help me figure out my problem preferably a syty person .i,m in oakland ca thank you for any tips ......

Re: do i have a bad injector/s

do you have a wideband O2 sensor? if you don't you're a/f guage is just decoration. and no the stock o2 is not wideband. the fuel pressure sounds a tad high if you're testing it w/ the vacum line on the regulator. if you're taking the vacum line off it sounds a little low. and if you're looking at the factory boost guage it's a crap shot too. done a good tune up lately? quality plugs and wires and cap and rotor are a must. i burnt up a set of accell wires in a month, cause they couldn't handle the head. they still looked really good but ohm'd out really really high. and it was missing real bad.

NAPA makes real high quality ignition parts for our trucks. Not real cheap but real good. RR241 cap. RR242 rotor, cr42ts plugs. I ran MSD wires, others run different, depends on your budget.

Re: do i have a bad injector/s

napa caries taylor wires but you most likely have to order the one for the syty's. I would recomend ur5's or ur6's. They tend to idle better. The 6's are colder to take out some KR. If your truck is stock ur5's will be ok. Autozone and napa have good cap's and rotors. Just make sure they have brass inserts.

i ordered the tune up kit from detriot turbo i think it was and the wires have held up great. i run ngk's in everything i own so i'd go with the ur5's.
