Funny you say that, there is an internal jumper pin on the Crimestoppers that give them a crazy range, it is illegal to do (violates FCC regulations) but IMO worth it.

Smeagol, just hook a relay in instead of the fuel pump switch so that the autostart completes the circuit when autostarting.

I have the compustar and love it. It's got the turbo timer function (have to set the parking brake) and it has killer range (I could start my car from anywhere inside Costco!)
Plus it has a sweet LCD remote that tells you everything from if your doors are open, if your armed, if it's started etc.
Oh, and it's cold weather tested in Anchorage, Alaska!
