Distributor Part Number--late model 4.3L with cam sensor

I am looking for the part number of the distributor that has the once per cam revolution trigger along with the usual six per cam revolution pickup. I recall these were late model 4.3's

I am still interested in doing the EDIST and DIS or Coil-on-Plug ignition.

I don't believe there is such a dist with a crank trigger in it. The newer V6 has the crank trigger in the front timing cover with the wheel on the timing sprocket.

I've looked at using the V8 timing cover since they don't have the balance shaft but use the same crank pickup. Then use the V6 crank sprocket wheel. The distributor shouldn't matter if it's V8 or V6, it only has the #1 cam sync in it on the schematics I've seen. They are both easy to install, just line up the dot on the dist drive gear with the dot on the shaft and drop in with the engine at #1 TDC.

I'm not sure if the V8 timing cover will work, but if so...should be the problem solver for the hard to find V6 even fire crank wheel.

The distributor is made mostly of a plastic composite, so it should offer some weight savings

maybe the new Accel dual sync distributor will work for your application. It has both a cam and crank signal. I have one on the shelf if interested. We would have to get the schematics on which wire is which, b/c so far i have only used them in conjunction with the Gen VII DFI and adaptor harness.

i believe it is a 77151 (4.3 V6). If memory serves me correect the 77100 is a SBC. Both have the small style distributor caps.

Thanks. Yep. You are right. Just checked in the Accel catalog. #77100 is for an SBC...
