hey guys i need some help i have the same problem s-crazy has with my 93 ty. spray gas it starts runs for awhile and dies it has fuel pressure also it will restart right after you turn it off. nkirkella@yahoo.com thanks

If you are sure it has fuel pressure, I suspect the ecm or the injector wiring is bad.

its got fuel pressure if you disconnect the battery it will start right up run for ten min. or so. then wont start again. it will also start if you turn it off and start it right away. let sit for a couple min then it will not start

Hey Bouser,

Ever figure out what was wrong with your TY? I've been slacking lately and have been only working on mine on and off. I've replaced my ECM and IAC. My EGR was fine. I'm starting to believe I have some kind of vacuum leak in the intake system that is somehow throwing the computer off with fuel mixture. I'm going to see what tests I can perform to determine a vacuum leak.

you guys checked trouble codes? My pickup did something similar when I had a bad coolant temp sensor ... followed immediately by a bad map sensor that cause a no-start condition :roll:
