Re: Did the new $code get showed off at nats ?
Ive been running $59 for at least a month now. I have my Zeitronix WB in the factory downpipe, and the wire running through y doorjamb. As far as performance- I havent really been aiming for that. I have been trying to get better mileage. So far I am having a hard time breaking 15 mpg consistenly, in and around town. I am driving with a light foot, keeping out of boost. I have checked tire pressures, run synthetic oil and synth. gear lube in the axles. I have been running as lean as 16:1 AFR, and Ive got timing as high as 34 degrees at roughly 1600/60kpa (not running these AFR's and timing at any other times/loads). I have not checked it on a highway trip yet.
As for $59, I would not be able to command these AFR's without it, and run closed loop. I am currently working on a bin to run open loop because my 3-bar MAP is just a loaner, and I may want to keep $59 going when I give back the MAP. I think pretty soon I may go back to $58 and give it a try open loop and see what I get. The 3 bar tables are great, its nice to use just one table for fuel tuning. I havent had any hiccups in the software. I did have an IAC issue where it was commanding 100+ IAC counts under cruise. It was like my truck was pushing against my braking efforts. I have that pretty under control now- and its a bin issue not a $59 thing.
The autotune software is totally cool. It has never been easier to get a VE table dialed in. Just make sure its within reason to start, then drive and log. Plug in the numbers and your tune will be very close withing 2 logs. I have autotuned roughly 6 or 7 times. Each time my new suggested VE table is only fractions of my current table- showing me that my bin is prtty good. Until I changed my timing tables last week, I was between 126 and 130 BLMs almost everywhere.
