Diagnosing Keyless remote receiver

I have an LS1 conversion 93 Typhoon, so it has the odb2 port. I looked at the receiver's electronics and contacts for corrosion or charring and it looks good.

I've seen several posts detailing how to test the keyless remote receiver by jumpering pins on the original style diagnostic port. Since mine has has the odb2 port, is there an equivalent way to test this using either the connector on the receiver or odb2 port. I just don't want to start shorting out pins without knowing what's what.
Thanks

Re: Diagnosing Keyless remote receiver

Well, I had some success with this... I found the correct purple wire at the 6 pin connector mentioned previously. There is thick one and a smaller gauge one. Since the thick had 12vdc, I used the smaller one and grounded it - the doors and rear hatch locks cycled! So, I tried using one of my remotes. It seems to work most of the time, a little finicky but usable.
I have 2 Identical remotes. When I setup one, the other no longer works and vice-versa.
Is there a way to add a second remote?

Thanks,
Eddy
