Datamaster, more like Dataerror!!!

I've been running datamaster for a while, and as some of you might know I've been dealing with some fuel delivery issues (mostly it getting dumped into my oil.) I dropped my fp down to 36#s and like I was seeing at 38#s I'd get knock whenever I got into boost. But the really weird thing (new since I've had this problem) is that according to DM I get a ton of data errors ("Data OK" green light turns red) I took the chip out prior to this and made sure it was installed correctly and whatnot. I have a 50# Ultimate chip and my eprom id was reading 00101 the whole time (I don't know what that means exactly, but at least it was consistent.) Anyone else see a lot of data errors when they run dm with the ultimate chip? Thanks.

i would check what codes are in fact alerting DM when it happens...run it with the dtc box open to see...or play it back with the dtc code box open...be very careful on the WOT with all this knock...a guy on the board just overboosted once and caused major damage to his rod or main bearings (motormouth) ...my ty was doing the same thing as yours a few weeks ago, when i would get into boost...it ended up being a bad voltage regulator or something else in the alternator...i replaced the alternator and the knock problem totally went away...but my voltage would drop to nothing when i would get into any real load...not saying you have an alternator problem, but don't rule everything out and take it slow...maybe post your run or send it to someone who can better interpret it...hell, send me a copy, it could be something obvious...what does you voltage do when you get into boost?.

would you happen to be running MSD ignition box if so this will cause the errors ........... disconnect it from the coil and see if it goes away

Voltage was high 13's the whole time, and I never got pat 20/25% TPS before I started seeing knock. I've got the MSD, I'm gonna pull it today see if that makes a difference and I'll run datamaster.

93ty475 - how can I export the data to you? I was reading put it into excel, and do I just e-mail it to you or what? I've never done it. Thanks.
