DataMaster comments please

Here's the link to my 11.91@114.63 pass. Couple of questions.

1)AFR target just sits at 10.0 is that correct? Seems like it should show some movement. I assume that means I'm rich but would appreciate comments on a good way to fix that.

2) Look at the RPM around record 133 to 142 and how it doesn't change much. Seems weird to me.

Any other comments gratefully appreciated.

It looks generally pretty good - 25+ psi on a mixed pump gas blend is pretty good, I'd say.

Guessing you have an innovate or PLX wideband... is the chip patched for this? Looks like it matches the narrow-band o2 pretty well, so I'm tempted to say that it is. It's actually probably richer than 10:1, that's the lowest either of them will output on the 0-5V line.

Lotta little spiky things on narrow o2 and a few in the RPM graph. With as much alcohol you're spraying, it could be that you don't have enough spark to light it all.

Spool-up is excellent.

Knock recovery is too slow in the chip. It slowly ramps down even after knock counts disappear.

Personally, if it were me, I'd leave the alcohol where it is and start taking fuel out of the chip above the turn-on point of the alcohol. Where's your nozzle located?

You could try taking some alcohol out, slowly, until the AFR moves off the floor. This will show you a bit more information about what AFR is really doing.

IATs look great... 90 degrees at that boost level at the big end is outstanding.

Try a run starting in second gear, and hold that until 5500 (then shift). Same with the 3-4. Your converter is pretty loose (looks a lot like my 2800 9/11)

Nice run. It looks pretty good, just a few little things to sort out. What are you running for wheels/tires?

Thanks Dig!

I'll try to answer the Q's...

PLX? yes

I'm with you on the richness issue.

I'll check into the knock recovery.

I can change the fuel a bit. What I have the most control over is the meth. It's a trick getting them to work together. Nozzle is located under the hose connection for the TB at the exit of the IC.

Yes, pulling some meth was gonna be my first attempt at bringing the AFR's to where I can see changes.

I'll try shifting. The converter is what you say. 2800 stall 9/11

Wheels are stock, and tires are Michelin Pilot XGT's (the ones the truck came with when I bought it) and due for replacement. Even though I shallow stage the truck is launching so hard when go on the third amber I still go red most of the time. :rotf: Still working on changing my launch routine.

HTH I appreciate your comments!

It's just one table that you up the values in... fairly simple.

Generally, I find that they respond better to more alky and less fuel. If you have one of the "stepped fueling" multi-chips, you can pull some out that way, but you often run into the case where it pulls fuel out where you don't want it to. If someone is working the chip for you, they should be able to pull fuel above the alcohol turn-on point. It'd still be useful for them to see where the peaks/valleys in the fuel curve are, though, so that they can tweak that as well.

This is less about going faster and more about finding out what your AFR does up there. Your heads+ cam should work up there. If you're bold, you can spin it higher, but I'd stay kinda chicken with a fresh motor.

That's encouraging... I'm contemplating going back to regular street tires myself... more of a looks thing than anything else.
