crossroad on the truck

so here i am almost ready to start driving my typhoon and i think i got an electrical short. i think it might be the ignition switch since its acting up, but if that doesn't cure it i think the harness under the dash is junk. i'm not sure why but the entire harness has been cut out and a large portion of it replaced with blue wire. every wire running from the ecm plug to the rest of the truck has been spliced with the same shade of blue. so now i'm trying to decide if i want to find another factory harness to replace it, go to a new xfi style harness for the engine and run new guages or who knows. i'm just venting and trying to convince my self to go a different route on the truck i guess. i've been envying all of you who've gotten your truck running in the time i've been fussing with the truck. especially the v8 and ls1 guys.

Why is the harness cut up in the first place? Did they have a msd ignition system in it? or was the truck in a fire or damaged somehow? Get a good manual with the wiring schematic and see if you can find the problem.

I have an extra complete interior harness for my sy minus the radio plug . 150 shipped if you decide to replace the under dash wires and could use it ..

if you pull your computer out of the dash from behind the glove box, i mean those plugs. i have power to my xfi box but it seems to randomly drop the crank signal from the distributer. if i decide that route i'll contact you mr king.
