Plays well with others
So I'm heading South on Prospect Ave, coming back from picking up some milk with Andrew (5 yr old future Typhoon owner). We come up to a red light and low and behold, there's this (GAY) copper colored 350z in the right lane. I'd say a 30 yr old guy is driving, and he looks over briefly, I figure, he'll probably go at the green, but I'm not gonna build boost or anything.
I check behind, up ahead, and to the left & right for our City's finest. None in sight. The left hand turn light turns green, both directions, so I know we're next. So I figure, if he gets on it, so will I up to about the speed limit (35) or what everyone usually drives (45) ....anything beyond that I wouldnt' do on a surface street. (plus no boost launch).
So light turns green, I take off medium speed, and I hear him nail it....so then I hit it, and we stay in front, (probably by a half to a car length). Once I reach cruising speed (45) I let off the gas and coast, (my turn off is coming up soon). I look in my rear-view, and see him back a few car lengths, looking like he gave up when we hit 35 and saw that he wasn't gong to pass a "Jimmy" as easily as he thought. As I'm slowing for my turnoff, I tell Andrew to look out the window and give him the thumbs up as he goes by.
Andrew does, but said he wasn't looking. Andrew said, "I guess he doesn't have a turbo, huh daddy?"
