ColdAir Question

Looking over the recent Typhoon purchase, I can't help but notice how restrictive the airbox/tube is. Is there other options beside the RPM kit? I need to keep the stock battery location and my coolant overflow has been coverted to alcohol/meth tank...so neither of them can move. Any pics of a mod i can do to make this less restrictive? Thanks for any input--R

Re: ColdAir Question

sorry, got no pics for you at the moment, but i use a large cone filter (no k&n, but like that)
and two plastic "house plumbing" 90° elbows that fit the "filter" side of the orange stock elbow.
the filter is located under the modified (cut by 1") stock battery tray.

not a very high sophisticated solution but costs only 30€. sounds nice also.

Re: ColdAir Question

Here is how I have mine. I ran my filter off my turbo with an elbow. I have my battery in the stock location, however it is a smaller Braille battery. I have more pics if you want to go this route...

Just a heads up, it won't be a "cold" air kit. These things get real hot under the hood. It helps to delete your EGR and insulate your turbo to keep the under hood temps down.

Let me know if you would like me to PM you any more pics or anything.
