Cold start issue

Truck has had problems with cold starts for awhile now, typically what happens is 3 minutes or so after u start it the truck really stumbles for idle and sometimes dies. Today i revved it in park to warm it up faster and if i tried to go past 1.5k it would buck pop and stumble as it got warmer it would be able to rev higher. Does this sound like a fuel issue? If so pump or filter?

Re: Cold start issue

Do you still have a EGR valve? I had a truck that ran like crap when cold it turned out to be a sticking egr valve.

Re: Cold start issue

Have you got a wideband? If so, watching it while the symptoms occur will tell you a world of info.. What about your STerms on your datalogger, is it going lean?

Re: Cold start issue

The EGR is blocked off and it's not doing it anymore the revving past 1.5k sputtering part, it still runs like sh!t after 3-4 minutes cold idle tho. I dont have a wideband and my narrow band intrestingly enough is stuck at 15.5ish even without the engine on. To top it all off my starter wont even turn now it's a new mini starter less than 2 months! I probally drove the truck less than 10 times @#$#@$. Battery jumper pack voltage everything fine it just wont turn!
